NCP Virtual Secure Enterprise VPN Server is a self-hosted virtual appliance for connecting remote users, offices and IIoT devices to company networks. Its hardened Linux operating system, IPsec remote access and integrated routing and firewall functions target organizations that want to manage VPN access within their own environment. The vendor also positions it for service providers: a gateway can support up to 1,024 domain groups, allowing multiple domains to share an appliance. It is aimed at mid-market and enterprise deployments rather than teams seeking a simple hosted VPN service.

The gateway’s feature set centers on managed access and continuity. It supports IKEv1 and IKEv2, NAT-T, and VPN Path Finder, which can fall back from IPsec to HTTPS on port 443. High availability is available through load balancing or failover. Administrators can manage users through local accounts, RADIUS, LDAP or Microsoft Active Directory, with one-time password and certificate-based authentication. Endpoint policy enforcement and quarantine controls add ways to govern client access. Client support spans Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android, while NCP Secure Enterprise Management provides a related management integration.

Deployment is self-hosted, so organizations need a suitable virtual environment and should be prepared to operate the gateway themselves. Subscription licensing is available, but pricing is contact-sales rather than a set of published tiers; there is no free plan. Support channels include email and documentation. This fits organizations that need control over an enterprise VPN gateway, multi-tenancy or policy enforcement, and have the operational capacity to manage an appliance. Smaller teams or buyers looking for straightforward online pricing or a hosted VPN service should consider a more accessible alternative.
