Our verdict on myRent
myRent is a property management platform for New Zealand landlords who manage residential tenancies themselves. It brings rent collection, tenancy agreement creation, bond lodgement, lease renewals, maintenance tracking, inspections, document storage, tenant communication, expense reporting and bank feeds into one service. Landlords and tenants can access the platform through the web, iOS and Android apps, while tenants can view tenancy documents, payment information and maintenance workflows. It is best suited to owners who want a single system for day-to-day tenancy administration rather than a narrow rent collection tool.
The plan structure is straightforward. The 1 Property plan includes all features and no hidden fees. The 2-9 Properties plan includes all features, with the first property priced at NZD 20 and each additional property at NZD 9; the displayed pricing excludes GST. The 10+ Properties plan supports unlimited properties with a capped price. There is no free plan, so myRent is a paid option from the outset. Its broad feature coverage means landlords can handle rent payments, bills, reminders, expenses and reconciliation alongside tenancy workflows instead of combining separate tools.
