Motadata Network Configuration Manager review
A compliance-focused network configuration manager for multi-vendor device operations.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
Motadata Network Configuration Manager manages configurations across multi-vendor network devices for enterprise network, operations, security, and compliance teams. It supports automatic and on-demand backups, configuration version history, change detection, comparisons, restoration, rollback, scheduled comparisons, compliance audits, remediation, bulk configuration execution, firmware upgrade management, audit trails, and change alerts. The product is available through the web and uses a hybrid deployment model.
Its strongest fit is operational control across heterogeneous infrastructure. Teams can compare configuration states, track changes, restore known-good versions, and schedule configuration comparisons. Compliance workflows evaluate configurations against defined policies and standards, then automate remediation for non-compliant configurations. Bulk execution and firmware upgrade management extend the product beyond record-keeping into coordinated device administration. Integrations with Motadata ServiceOps, ServiceNow, Microsoft Teams, Atlassian JIRA, Slack, SNMP Trap Forwarder, and Syslog Forwarder support service management, collaboration, and event workflows.
According to the vendor’s pricing model, access is handled through contact sales rather than published plan tiers, so buyers should expect a sales-led evaluation. The product is an active legacy product line within Motadata NMS 7.x, with vendor-announced end of support on August 27, 2028; the current product direction is Motadata ObserveOps NCCM. Organizations that need configuration history, compliance remediation, rollback, and multi-device execution may find the feature scope aligned with their operating model. Teams selecting a product for a longer-term deployment should evaluate the current ObserveOps direction instead of treating the legacy line as the final destination.
