Mole-Win review
A free PowerShell toolkit for uninstalling apps and cleaning broader Windows clutter.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Sep 2026
Mole-Win is an experimental, open-source PowerShell toolkit for Windows 10 and Windows 11. It combines application removal with leftover cleanup, broader system cleaning, disk usage analysis, system optimization, and live monitoring. Its uninstaller covers traditional registry-listed programs and Windows Store apps, then targets leftovers in application install locations. An interactive interface supports search and multi-selection, while registered MSI and executable uninstallers can run silently with an interactive fallback. PowerShell 5.1 or later is required, and the project is distributed under the MIT License.
The published offering uses an open-source pricing model with a free plan. That plan includes the complete toolkit described for Mole-Win: application uninstallation, leftover cleanup, temporary-file and cache cleanup, browser-leftover and Windows-log cleanup, disk analysis, service and cache refresh, live CPU, memory, disk, network, and process monitoring, dry-run previews, and debug logging. The available plan also includes batch-style selection through multi-selection and supports silent MSI and executable-uninstaller execution. There are no paid tiers described; the value is access to the open-source toolkit rather than a tiered feature package.
Mole-Win is a broader Windows cleanup utility than a narrowly focused uninstaller, but that scope may not suit every buyer. It does not provide forced uninstall or installation monitoring, and its Windows version is labeled experimental and not mature. Users who need those capabilities, a more established Windows application, or support beyond Windows should consider an alternative. Mole-Win is a sensible fit for technically comfortable Windows users who want open-source control, dry-run visibility, and cleanup tools that extend beyond removing an application.
