Mockzilla review
A flexible HTTP mock server for schema validation, failure testing, and pull-request environments.

Mockzilla turns OpenAPI specifications or plain JSON files into mock APIs for individual developers, small teams, and organizations. It supports hosted URLs for shared development, tests, and pull requests, while its MIT-licensed engine can run locally. The product is aimed at teams that want API simulations to follow an existing contract rather than manually maintaining every response.
Its strongest technical advantage is the combination of schema-aware generation and controlled failure scenarios. Mockzilla can create responses from types, formats, enums, and required fields, validate incoming requests against an OpenAPI specification, and match requests by path, query, and body. Teams can inject latency and errors, proxy requests to real APIs with mock fallback, inspect request history, and replay responses. Static JSON endpoints are also available when an OpenAPI specification is not part of the workflow.
Pricing is freemium. The Free plan costs $0 per month and includes a hosted mock server, OpenAPI spec upload, 1K requests per month, and 5 requests per second. Hobby costs $10 per month with 100K requests and 10 requests per second; Starter costs $20 with 200K requests and 20 requests per second; Pro costs $50 with 400K requests and 40 requests per second. Enterprise adds dedicated infrastructure, custom traffic sizing, and a custom domain. GitHub Actions, Docker, and Docker Compose support make it suitable for pull-request environments and local or CI execution. Choose Mockzilla when OpenAPI-driven mocking, failure injection, and portable execution matter; teams needing protocols beyond HTTP should look elsewhere.
