Mipony is a desktop download manager for Windows and Mac that automates direct downloads and BitTorrent transfers. It is designed for users who download from file hosts and torrents and want more control than a basic browser download queue provides. The software detects downloadable links through an internal browser, manages waiting times and server restrictions, queues files, retries failed transfers, and resumes downloads after the program restarts. It also supports download grouping, filters, categories, premium-account and unrestrictor services, and video downloading. An Android companion, Ponydroid, provides mobile control capabilities.

The published plans divide features between free and paid editions. Basic for Windows includes two simultaneous torrent downloads, ads, and medium-quality video downloads. Pro 1 Year for Windows is listed at $14 per year and adds unlimited torrent downloads, no ads, high-quality video downloads, and audio-only downloads. Pro Lifetime for Windows is listed at $19 one-time with the same highlighted Pro features. Basic for Mac is a free edition with ads, while Pro 1 Year for Mac and Pro Lifetime for Mac add premium accounts, remote control, automatic decompression, and no ads. The plan structure makes Windows the clearer choice for users focused on video and torrent limits, while Mac Pro emphasizes account support and control features.

Platform coverage is a strength: Mipony supports Windows, macOS, and Android control through Ponydroid. Its feature set is broad for users managing multiple sources, especially where retries, resume, queue management, and server restrictions matter. The internal browser and downloadable-link detection can also reduce manual link handling. Users who want a mobile-first downloader should consider a different type of product, because Mipony is centered on desktop download management and uses Android primarily for mobile control. For file-host and torrent workflows across supported desktop platforms, Mipony is the stronger fit.

  • Where it doesn't
    • The free Windows and Mac editions include ads.
    • Higher-quality video and audio-only downloads require Windows Pro.
    • The experience centers on desktop downloads rather than mobile-first use.
