MinPin review
A low-cost, API-compatible pinning service with free access and configurable paid-plan copies.

MinPin is a hosted IPFS pinning service for people and teams who want content kept available on the IPFS network. Its standards-compliant IPFS Pinning Service API supports compatible clients such as Kubo, with API tokens for authentication. That makes it a fit for small users who want API-based pinning without committing to a large reserved capacity. The service is cloud-based, and its published plan details include a free option as well as paid storage choices.
The free “Kick the Tires” plan includes 5 GiB of storage, one copy of each pin, full API access, token-based authentication and multi-factor authentication. Basic costs $8 per month and provides 250 GiB, counting each copy; it allows up to three copies per pin, with two by default. Basic is also part of a MinPin bundle that includes other services. The separate Paid plan charges $5 per TiB per month for reserved storage, so the monthly amount depends on the capacity reserved. Copies count toward usage on paid plans, and users can configure up to three copies per pin. The published plans show full API access across all three options.
API compatibility is MinPin’s clearest ecosystem fit: it also lists IPFS Desktop, and supports Kubo and other clients that implement the Pinning Service API. Token and bearer-token authentication, along with MFA, are useful account controls. Email is the listed support channel. Choose MinPin if you want a small-scale pinning service with API access and the option to reserve storage at a per-TiB rate. Compare alternatives if you need a plan that does not count extra copies toward storage, or if you want a standalone fixed-capacity option rather than the bundled Basic plan.
