Mimecast Incydr review
A broad insider-risk platform for enterprises pairing behavioral detection with DLP controls.

Mimecast Incydr is an insider risk management and data protection platform for security teams managing sensitive data, intellectual property, departing employees, shadow AI, and other insider-risk scenarios. It monitors file movement and user behavior across endpoints, cloud services, browsers, email, and AI tools, then applies user, data, and destination risk scoring. The platform supports Windows, macOS, Linux, and web environments, making it a fit for enterprises that need insider-risk controls alongside data loss prevention rather than a narrow employee-monitoring tool.
The published plans show three deployment paths. Professional includes protection across endpoints, cloud, and email, endpoint monitoring, one SaaS/cloud exfiltration detector, Incydr Risk Indicators, dashboards, watchlists, forensic search, and cases. Enterprise adds extended event data retention, case archival, enhanced API integrations, and endpoint plus SaaS/cloud monitoring. Gov provides a FedRAMP-authorized SaaS solution with endpoint and SaaS/cloud monitoring, core investigation capabilities, and API, CLI, and SDK access. Pricing is contact-sales only, so buyers should expect a sales-led evaluation rather than self-serve purchasing.
Incydr’s ecosystem is a major part of its enterprise fit. Integrations include Microsoft Teams, Slack, ServiceNow, BambooHR, Jira, SuccessFactors, UKG, Workday, CrowdStrike, SentinelOne, Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, Splunk, and Palo Alto Networks Cortex XSOAR. Its feature depth extends from adaptive controls such as education, blocking, and containment to content inspection for PII, PCI, and custom data, plus Incydr Flows for workflow automation. Enterprises that need broad monitoring, risk context, case tracking, and coordinated response should consider it. Smaller organizations seeking a simpler, self-serve product may find its scope and sales process less suitable.
