Our verdict on Milanote
Milanote is a visual workspace for creative professionals and teams who want to organize project material on flexible boards. Its free-form infinite canvas holds notes, images, links, files, videos, tasks, tables and sketches, so it suits brainstorming and planning that mix written ideas with visual references. Shared boards support real-time collaboration, and the product is available on web, Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, with a Chrome extension for capturing material. It is a better fit for assembling and presenting creative work than for teams whose whiteboard needs center on voting tools.
Templates for brainstorming, mind maps and flow charts offer starting points, while custom template creation and sharing can support repeatable planning. Presentation mode provides full-screen viewing and focus controls; board sharing can grant view, comment or edit permissions, and work can be exported as PDF. These features make Milanote useful for moving from collecting references to arranging and sharing a board. The feature set emphasizes free-form visual organization rather than a narrow diagramming workflow.
The Free plan has no time limit and includes 100 notes, images or links, 10 file uploads and unlimited shared boards. The Pay per person plan costs $9.99 per user per month with annual billing, or $12.50 per user per month with monthly billing; both add unlimited notes, images or links and file uploads, while retaining unlimited shared boards. The Team plan is $49 per month with annual billing and includes unlimited notes, images or links, file uploads and shared boards, for up to a selected number of people. Choose Milanote if a creative team values a flexible canvas and mixed media; look elsewhere if voting is central to its whiteboard process.
