Mifos X is an open-source core banking platform for banks, credit unions, SACCOs, microfinance institutions, fintechs, and other financial service providers. It combines Apache Fineract with web and mobile clients for customer relationship management, loan and savings portfolio management, accounting, reporting, and digital financial services. The platform is available across web, Android, and self-hosted environments, making it relevant to organizations that need configurable financial products and control over deployment.
Its breadth is the main reason to consider it. Mifos X covers loan product configuration, loan management, savings, deposits, current and share accounts, general ledger accounting, financial control, real-time accounting, and system-wide product changes.
