Microsoft Viva Insights is a workplace analytics and productivity application for employees, managers, leaders, and analysts. It summarizes Microsoft 365 collaboration data from email, calendars, chats, calls, and meetings, then turns that information into personal, team, organizational, and advanced insights. The product combines wellbeing recommendations, focus planning, quiet time, manager reporting, prebuilt reports, custom analysis tools, and privacy-protected aggregated reporting. It is suited to organizations already operating across Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Exchange Online, and Microsoft 365.

Pricing is structured across three annual-billing plans. Microsoft Viva Insights costs $4 per user per month and includes an analyst workbench for advanced analytics plus data-driven insights for managers and leaders. Microsoft Viva Workplace Analytics and Employee Feedback costs $6 per user per month, adding organizational insights, custom insights tools and accelerators, organization-wide voice-of-the-employee surveys, quick surveys, and capabilities to measure AI adoption and impact. Microsoft Viva Suite costs $12 per user per month and includes Viva Insights and employee feedback capabilities, along with learning recommendations, tracking, partner integrations, and AI-generated insights and prompts with Copilot in Viva.

Its strongest fit is the Microsoft ecosystem. Viva Insights integrates with Teams, Outlook, Exchange Online, Microsoft 365, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Skype for Business, while collaboration analysis spans email, meetings, chats, and calls. Copilot adoption and impact analytics extend the product beyond individual productivity, and privacy-protected reporting supports organization-level analysis. Advanced analysis and the Microsoft Copilot Dashboard require at least 50 assigned Viva Insights licenses, which makes the higher-level analytics more relevant to larger deployments. Choose Viva Insights for Microsoft-centered collaboration, wellbeing, and workforce insight workflows; choose another product if your priority is a platform outside this ecosystem or a lower-commitment purchasing model.
