Medianet Media Monitoring review
Cross-media monitoring for PR teams that need historical coverage search and shareable reports.

For PR and communications teams tracking coverage in Australia and New Zealand, Medianet Media Monitoring brings print, broadcast, online and selected social mentions into a single workflow. A search builder supports creating and editing monitoring searches; teams can then review coverage metrics, sentiment and trends in dashboards, receive mention alerts or scheduled newsletters, and curate reports to share. Sentiment analysis is available at both article and entity level, and search results identify other organisations appearing in coverage. The service is cloud-based and available on the web, with integrations to Medianet Outreach tools and Medianet Insights.
Historical access and scale are the clearest plan differences. Monitoring Essentials includes 500 mentions per month, one month of historical data, two users and one volume boost per year. Monitoring Advance increases that to unlimited monthly mentions, six months of history, 10 users and two annual volume boosts. Monitoring Premium has unlimited mentions, 12 months of history, 50 users and four volume boosts per year; it also includes one Media Outcomes Report and one Journalist Pulse Report annually. According to Medianet's pricing page, all three plans are sold through a sales conversation rather than showing a plan amount, so buyers should request a quote to compare costs.
The strongest fit is a communications team that needs reporting across traditional media alongside online coverage, with archive access and report-sharing built into monitoring. Broadcast transcripts can be exported as CSV or XLS, which supports teams that need to work with transcript data outside the dashboards. The platform may be less suitable for buyers who need broad social listening or a known subscription price before engaging sales: social coverage is limited to selected sources, and every tier requires a quote. Teams should also match the tier's retention window and user allowance to their reporting needs before choosing.
