Maxthon is a Chromium-based web browser for people who want more than page viewing across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. It combines cloud synchronization with Passkeeper password autofill, Maxnote note-taking and URL organization, split-screen browsing, reading mode, read aloud, mouse gestures, media downloading, and AI chat. Privacy-oriented features include anti-tracking, ad blocking, incognito browsing, data cleaning, and a free VPN in supported versions. Chrome Web Store compatibility and the Maxthon Plugin Center extend its browser platform with additional extensions.
The main appeal is breadth. Maxthon brings browsing, notes, reading assistance, downloads, and AI chat into one Chromium-based product, while cross-device synchronization supports movement between desktop and mobile. Built-in ad blocking and anti-tracking reduce the need to assemble a separate privacy setup, and the browser supports extensions through both the Chrome Web Store and Maxthon Plugin Center. Users who regularly save web material, consume media, or switch between devices get the clearest value from this combination.
Membership options include VIP, described as a browser-side gold-tier membership, plus the paid Media Plus and Maxthon Pro bundles. Media Plus adds unlimited video downloads where offered and higher AI, mail, and cloud tiers; Maxthon Pro also includes higher AI, mail, and cloud tiers. According to the membership page, exact prices, quotas, and regional offers appear in the member center after sign-in. Maxthon suits users seeking an all-in-one browser with media and note-taking tools. Those who want a minimal browser or prefer to compare exact membership terms before signing in should consider a simpler alternative.
