ManyVector is a vector database for retrieval-augmented generation, semantic search, recommendations, and AI-agent memory. It stores vectors and indexes in customer-controlled object storage, including Amazon S3, Google Cloud Storage, Cloudflare R2, Azure Blob Storage, MinIO, Tigris, and Wasabi. The product is available as a managed service and supports self-hosted deployments for enterprise customers, making it relevant for teams that want search infrastructure connected to their own storage environment.

The Free Tier includes 100 million vectors, vector, full-text, and hybrid search, metadata filtering, namespace branching, and Python and TypeScript SDKs. The Growth plan adds unlimited vectors in the customer’s bucket, priority email support, and namespace branching for model evaluation and A/B testing; its published pricing is usage-based per query above the free tier rather than a monthly subscription. Enterprise adds self-hosted VPC or air-gapped deployment, SSO/SAML, SCIM directory sync, and a 99.9% uptime SLA. This structure suits teams that want to begin without a paid plan and expand usage while keeping persistence in their own object storage.

Search depth is a central strength. ManyVector combines dense approximate-nearest-neighbor search using HNSW, BM25 full-text search over stored attributes, sparse-vector storage and querying, and hybrid ranking through Reciprocal Rank Fusion. Structured metadata filtering and copy-on-write namespace branching extend the same API from retrieval into snapshots, evaluation, and rollback workflows. Teams prioritizing hybrid retrieval, controlled storage, or branch-based model evaluation should consider ManyVector. Teams needing broader SDK coverage, or enterprise controls without the Enterprise plan, should consider an alternative that better matches those requirements.
