ManageEngine Vulnerability Manager Plus is vulnerability management software for organizations responsible for endpoints, servers, applications, and network devices. It combines continuous scanning for operating systems and third-party applications with agent-based endpoint assessment, centralized web-console reporting, and role-based administration. Budget-conscious endpoint programs can start with the Free edition, while teams needing remediation, compliance, or network-device coverage can move to paid tiers.

Pricing is structured across three editions. Free includes vulnerability scanning, vulnerability assessment, and risk prioritization. Professional costs $695 USD per 100 workstations per year and adds system misconfiguration detection, high-risk software detection, secure configuration deployment, and vulnerability reports. Enterprise costs $1,195 USD per 100 workstations per year and includes Professional features plus built-in patch management, automated patch deployment, zero-day vulnerability mitigation, compliance, and network-device support. A 30-day trial provides an additional way to evaluate the product before selecting a tier.

Its main strength is breadth: the product connects discovery, prioritization, configuration management, remediation, compliance checks, and reporting in one program. Prioritization considers exploitability, threat intelligence, EPSS, patch availability, and affected systems, giving security teams several risk signals for deciding what to address first. Authenticated scanning for network devices uses SNMP and SSH credentials, while compliance checks cover CIS, UK Cyber Essentials, and NIST benchmarks. Choose it when endpoint coverage and remediation depth matter more than a narrow vulnerability-scanning workflow. Organizations needing only basic assessment may find the Free tier sufficient, while teams requiring patching, compliance, or network-device support should consider Enterprise.

ManageEngine Vulnerability Manager Plus pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Free plan covers scanning, assessment, and risk prioritization
    • Risk-based prioritization uses exploitability, EPSS, threat intelligence, and patch status
    • Enterprise adds patch deployment, zero-day mitigation, compliance, and network devices
  • Where it doesn't
    • The Free plan does not include patch deployment or configuration deployment
    • Network-device support is limited to the Enterprise tier
    • Paid plans are billed annually per 100 workstations
