ManageEngine OpManager is self-hosted network monitoring software for IT teams overseeing routers, switches, servers, virtual environments, WAN links, storage, and related infrastructure. It covers availability, interface, SNMP, WMI/WinRM, and CLI monitoring, while adding discovery, topology maps, traffic analysis, dashboards, reporting, alerting, workflow automation, and mobile access. Windows and Linux installations are supported, with web, iOS, Android, and API access available. Its broad scope suits teams that want one system for day-to-day infrastructure visibility rather than a tool focused on a single monitoring layer.

Pricing is divided into four annual editions. The Free Edition supports up to 3 devices with basic email and SMS alerts. Standard Edition starts at $95 per 10 devices and adds availability and interface monitoring, network discovery, and support for up to 1,000 devices on a single server. Professional Edition starts at $145 per 10 devices and adds scheduled and Layer 2 discovery, virtual environment monitoring, and advanced dashboards and maps. Enterprise Edition starts at $4,595 per 250 devices and adds distributed monitoring for up to 50,000 devices and 100,000 interfaces through central server and probe architecture. A 30-day full-product trial is also available.

OpManager’s ecosystem is practical for teams that need alert routing and service workflows: integrations include Slack, Microsoft Teams, ServiceDesk Plus, Jira, PagerDuty, Telegram, WhatsApp, and REST API. Notifications can use email, SMS, webhooks, and mobile channels, while alarm correlation, escalation, forecasting, and adaptive thresholds support larger operational environments. NetFlow, sFlow, J-Flow, and IPFIX provide traffic and bandwidth analysis through add-ons. Choose OpManager for broad, multi-layer monitoring with a free starting point and an enterprise path; choose an alternative if you need a narrowly focused tool or prefer a non-self-hosted deployment.
