ManageEngine Network Configuration Manager is an on-premises solution for configuring and monitoring switches, routers, firewalls, and other network devices. It is aimed at network administrators and IT operations teams that need centralized backups, change tracking, compliance checks, automation, and reporting across multi-vendor environments. Administration is available through a web interface, with Windows and Linux installation options plus iOS, Android, and REST API access.

Pricing is structured around a freemium model. The Free plan manages up to 2 devices and includes configuration backup, Configlet-based network automation, real-time change detection, and compliance management. A 30-day trial is also available. The Professional annual subscription includes a 10-device pack with 2 users, the Professional edition, and annual maintenance and support. The Professional perpetual plan starts at US$595 per 10 devices and uses device-based licensing. This gives smaller teams a low-commitment entry point while preserving a perpetual licensing path for teams that prefer it.

Its strongest area is configuration control. Devices can be discovered through SNMP, SSH, Telnet, ICMP, and TCP Ping, while backups can run automatically, on a schedule, manually, or after a change. Configuration versioning, side-by-side comparison, real-time notifications, bulk Configlet operations, compliance reporting, approval workflows, rollback, firmware vulnerability identification, and remote firmware upgrades cover a wide operational range. Role-based access control, user activity tracking, and API-key-based REST access support administrative governance. Teams needing broad configuration management across supported network devices should consider it; teams managing more than 2 devices will need a Professional plan.
