Our verdict on MAKAR
MAKAR is an AR/VR/MR authoring product for individuals, businesses and schools that need to create and publish XR projects without compiling programs. Its XR Editor supports no-code authoring and real-time preview, while project management tools organize work. Content can be positioned with GPS or image recognition, then published as WebAR/WebVR for browser access or viewed through the MAKAR app. Android and iOS SDK support gives teams another route to add AR/VR features to their own apps. That range makes MAKAR relevant to teams planning experiences across browser and mobile destinations, rather than only one viewing channel.
The platform’s publishing options are a notable strength for cross-platform work: it supports WebAR/WebVR, the MAKAR mobile app, and Android and iOS apps through an embedded SDK. GPS-based positioning and image recognition address distinct ways to trigger or locate content, and engagement analytics are included in paid plans. An online library of more than 200,000 3D models can also support content creation. MAKAR runs across web, Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, with cloud, desktop and mobile deployment. These options suit teams that value a mix of browser publishing and app-based delivery; projects that need only a single, simple AR output may not need that breadth.
The Free account is described as a one-month service, with 2 projects, 10 MB of cloud storage, 2 publications and 3,000 target scans; WebAR/WebVR and analytics are unavailable. Standard costs $245 per quarter or $805 per year, and provides unlimited projects, 2 GB storage, 25 publications, WebAR/WebVR, unlimited target scans and analytics. Advanced is $405 per quarter or $1,340 per year, increasing storage to 5 GB and publications to 50; Studio is $635 per quarter or $2,120 per year, with 10 GB and 100 publications. All paid tiers share the listed core features. Choose MAKAR if no-code authoring, multiple publishing routes and measurement justify a paid plan; it is less suited to buyers seeking an ongoing free plan or a narrow, low-cost tool. Support channels include email, phone and documentation.
