Our verdict on Mailbutler Inbox Collaboration

Mailbutler Inbox Collaboration adds coordination tools to email accounts teams already use, including Gmail, Outlook, and Apple Mail. It is aimed at individuals and small teams managing shared addresses such as info@ or sales@ who want to assign messages and coordinate replies without moving email into a separate platform. The product does not provide or host the shared inbox itself, so it suits teams that already have their email setup in place and want collaboration layered onto it.

The collaboration features are centered on message handling: teammates can assign emails, see live indicators when someone is viewing or replying, add internal notes, create and share email-related tasks, and apply color-coded tags. Automations can respond to email sends, opens, clicks, and draft creation. The integrations extend to task and note tools including Asana, Todoist, Google Tasks, Microsoft To Do, Trello, Apple Reminders, Evernote, and Microsoft OneNote. This makes Mailbutler relevant when a team wants email activity connected to existing task habits, while it is less suitable for buyers seeking a hosted shared inbox or a broader standalone workflow platform.

According to the vendor’s pricing page, Starter is $5 per user per month on monthly billing or $4 with annual billing, covering email tracking, templates, and mail merge. Professional costs $9 monthly or $7 annually and adds Inbox Collaboration features; Smart costs $14 monthly or $11 annually and includes AI email composition and improvement plus a smart task finder. Business is $32 monthly or $24 annually, with CRM tracking data sync, a custom subdomain, and custom SMTP. A free plan and a 14-day trial without a credit card are available. Choose Professional or above for collaboration; Starter is aimed at individual email productivity rather than team inbox coordination.
