Our verdict on MacPractice
MacPractice is practice management and clinical software for dental and medical practices using Apple devices. For dental teams, it combines visual appointment scheduling with patient records, dental and periodontal charting, digital radiography, ledgers, claims, prescriptions, reminders, electronic forms, portals, and online scheduling. Its hybrid deployment keeps core data locally while providing browser access through MP.Go and workflow apps for iPad. The product is positioned for small to medium-sized practices that want scheduling and clinical administration in one system.
The published packages add capabilities in clear stages, although pricing follows a contact-sales model. MacPractice Essential covers scheduling, clinical and ledger management, claim and prescription printing, a built-in time clock, MP.Go browser access, and up to 10 individual user accounts. Plus adds electronic patient forms, iPad apps, restorative charting, perio, and digital radiography. Premium includes the lower-tier features and adds a patient portal, online patient scheduling, online registration, and online patient payments with Global Payments integration.
