Our verdict on Loki Automation

Loki Automation is Filmworkz software for batch-processing moving-image content. It is designed for restoration specialists, broadcasters, post-production facilities, archives, content owners and distributors that need repeatable restoration, enhancement, upscaling, standards conversion or delivery workflows. Its core role is orchestration: watch folders trigger jobs, reusable presets define processing, and a browser-based interface provides control, previews, monitoring and completion notifications. The client can be accessed through a browser on other operating systems, while servers and processing nodes run on Windows-based infrastructure.

The strongest fit is repetitive work that benefits from structure and scale. Loki can batch-process restoration and correction tasks, apply DVO-based denoising, artifact correction and image enhancement, and handle upscaling and standards conversion. User-defined presets help standardize recurring jobs, while scalable multi-node processing supports larger workloads. Integrations with Phoenix, DaVinci Resolve, Mistika, Scratch and MAM infrastructure make it suitable for facilities where restoration is part of a wider post-production or asset-management pipeline. API integration also allows Loki to connect with third-party infrastructure rather than operating as an isolated application.

Loki Automation should appeal to teams that already have restoration processes and want watch-folder orchestration, monitoring and repeatable execution around them. The Loki node plan includes scalable workflow automation, DVO-powered restoration and enhancement, watch-folder processing and browser-based control. Buyers looking for a dedicated restoration editor may need a different tool, because Loki is positioned around automation rather than primary editing. It is also a less natural fit for teams that do not want Windows-based processing infrastructure or do not have recurring batch workloads to automate.
