LocalXpose is a reverse proxy and secure tunneling service for exposing localhost services to the public internet. It is aimed at developers, testers, operators, IoT deployments, webhook workflows, remote systems, and production endpoints. The service supports Windows, macOS, Linux, FreeBSD, and Docker environments, with both command-line and graphical clients. Its protocol coverage includes HTTP, HTTPS, WebSocket, TCP, TLS, and UDP, making it suitable for more than browser-based development callbacks.

The published plans show a free Starter option and two billing choices for Pro. Starter includes SSL/TLS encryption, unique subdomains, and operation on the user's machine. Pro costs $8 per month or $96 per year and adds HTTP, HTTPS, TCP, TLS, and UDP tunneling, custom subdomains and domains, wildcard tunnels, automatic certificates, and unlimited bandwidth. Enterprise adds an admin dashboard, dedicated capacity, fully managed deployments, log retention, premium support, and user and token management. That structure makes LocalXpose accessible for individual development while providing a route to managed organizational deployments.

Its strongest technical depth is in traffic control and tunnel management. LocalXpose provides basic authentication, key authentication, IP whitelisting, request and response header editing, request rate limiting, real-time traffic logging, request replay, a built-in file server, and YAML configuration for multiple tunnels. These capabilities give developers and operators tools for controlled access, webhook inspection, and repeatable tunnel configurations. Choose LocalXpose if multi-protocol support, local-service exposure, and flexible client options matter more than a narrow HTTP-only workflow. Teams requiring administrative controls, dedicated capacity, or fully managed deployments should consider the Enterprise plan rather than relying on Starter or Pro.
