Our verdict on Lingo

Lingo is a web-based digital asset management platform from The Noun Project for brand, design, marketing, and creative teams. It centralizes files in a Library, adds context through Kits, and supports internal or external distribution through Portals. Teams can organize images, videos, documents, design files, colors, fonts, and other assets with tags, custom fields, metadata, filters, and saved views. Public, private, and password-protected sharing make it suitable for teams that need to distribute organized brand resources beyond the core editing group.

Pricing is structured around a platform fee and editor fees. Try for Free provides the Business plan for 30 days, with unlimited editors, consumers, and data during the trial. Starter costs $80 per month as a platform fee when billed annually, with $16 per editor per month, 50 consumers per month, 100 GB, public Kit and Portal Access, and basic custom branding. Business costs $160 per month as a platform fee when billed annually and adds API Access, Kit Versioning, and Tag Manager, alongside 200 GB and 100 consumers per month. Enterprise offers custom pricing, security and compliance reviews, invoicing, and purchase orders.

Lingo’s strongest differentiator is the combination of organized asset storage and presentation-ready brand Kits. Kits can include notes, guidelines, and documentation, while versioned released snapshots provide rollback access. File conversion, resizing, downloads, direct links, usage analytics, and a REST API extend the system beyond simple storage. Imports from Figma, Google Drive, and Dropbox support common creative workflows, but teams that need broad ecosystem coverage or formal approval processes should consider alternatives. Lingo is a good fit for design-led organizations sharing controlled brand resources; it is less suited to complex review-heavy operations.
