LinearB is a cloud platform for engineering teams that brings software delivery analytics, DORA metrics, developer productivity insights, workflow automation, AI-assisted code review, and project delivery tracking into one system. It is aimed at teams that want to measure delivery performance across cycle time, deployment frequency, change failure rate, mean time to restore, throughput, quality, and custom metrics. The platform is available through the web and API, with SAML single sign-on for organizations that need centralized access control.

Pricing is structured around two annual plans. Essentials costs $29 per user per month and includes programmable workflows, developer satisfaction surveys, AI impact measurement, AI code reviews, an MCP Server, and DORA metrics. Enterprise costs $59 per user per month and adds developer productivity insights, project tracking and forecasting, resource allocation and investment profile, R&D cost capitalization, on-prem agents, and developer automations in Slack and Microsoft Teams. A 45-day trial provides time to assess the platform before committing, but there is no free plan and all subscriptions are billed annually.

LinearB’s ecosystem coverage is a major part of its fit. It connects with GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Azure DevOps, Jira, Azure Boards, Slack, Microsoft Teams, PagerDuty, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Gemini, Claude, Amazon Q, and Windsurf. Metrics can be exported through the Metrics API, supporting reporting and data integration beyond the built-in dashboards. The main trade-off is plan scope: Essentials is limited to GitHub Cloud, while on-prem agents and broader planning, forecasting, and investment features sit in Enterprise. Choose LinearB when delivery analytics, workflow automation, and engineering intelligence need to share one platform; consider another option if a free plan or broader entry-level source-control coverage is essential.
