Our verdict on Leafentia AI
Leafentia AI is an iPhone app for people who want to identify indoor or outdoor plants and keep their care information together. A photo scan returns a plant identification, observations about visible health indicators, and suggestions covering watering, light, soil, and nutrition. Users can save plants in My Garden, revisit scan and care history, and rescan saved plants to track changes. Toxicity and pet-safety guidance is provided when available, which may help owners checking a plant before bringing it around pets.
The app’s focus goes beyond naming a plant: its health observations, care guidance, and saved scan history form a simple tracking loop. Rescanning lets users compare later observations with earlier scans, while synced garden information can be browsed offline. Identification and AI analysis, however, require an internet connection, so it is not suited to identifying plants while disconnected. There are no community features, making it a personal reference and tracking app rather than a place to compare notes with other plant owners.
Leafentia AI is freemium, with free scans and two Pro subscriptions. According to the published plans, Leafentia Pro Monthly costs $5.99 per month, and Leafentia Pro Yearly costs $39.99 per year; both add unlimited scans and full care guidance features. The free option may suit occasional identification, while people who scan regularly may find the paid tiers more appropriate. Choose it if you want plant identification plus care and history on iPhone; look elsewhere if you need Android support or offline identification.
