Larix Broadcaster is a live-streaming encoder for iOS, Android, and macOS devices. It captures video and audio from device cameras, then publishes streams through SRT, RTMP, RTSP, RIST, NDI, WebRTC, Zixi, and other supported protocols. Its audience includes mobile broadcasters, field teams, and producers who need to send one stream to several destinations. Support for YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Twitch, Wowza Streaming Cloud, Amazon Interactive Video Service, Dacast, Akamai, and Limelight gives it a practical fit across common streaming services and delivery platforms.

The pricing structure keeps the core entry point accessible. The Free plan includes core streaming and encoding capabilities and is available on Android and iOS. Larix Premium costs $9.99 per month and adds WebRTC output and premium streaming features. The feature set extends well beyond basic camera capture: users can switch cameras, control orientation, capture from multiple cameras, record streams to files, save screenshots, and apply image, text, HTML, web, or GPS-based overlays. Pause and standby modes, audio-only streaming, background streaming, and remote management through Larix Tuner add flexibility for mobile workflows.

Its main strength is breadth within mobile and multi-destination encoding. SRT supports Push, Listener, and Rendezvous modes, while adaptive bitrate offers multiple adjustment modes for changing network conditions. Simultaneous connections to multiple destinations and support for up to 4K make it suitable for productions that need protocol choice and distribution flexibility from a device. However, Larix Broadcaster is a poor fit for teams seeking a full desktop production environment or a browser-based studio. Choose it for mobile capture, protocol variety, overlays, and multistreaming; choose another tool when desktop-oriented production is the central requirement.
