kMetal is Clastix’s commercial Kubernetes platform for enterprises, cloud providers, and AI factories operating on bare-metal infrastructure. It combines hosted control planes running as pods on shared management infrastructure with Cluster API provisioning, KubeVirt and KVM-based virtual-machine workers, multi-cluster fleet management, tenant isolation, policy enforcement, quotas, upgrades, and backup and restore. The platform is aimed at organizations that need centralized Kubernetes operations with self-service access for multiple tenants or teams.

The Custom plan is scoped to the customer’s infrastructure and includes a management UI, self-service portal, multi-tenant cluster management with quota enforcement, self-service provisioning, unified fleet management and upgrades, and control-plane backup and restore. Pricing is negotiated for the infrastructure and use case rather than presented as a public numeric tier. That model fits organizations planning a tailored deployment, while teams seeking a public starting price or a free plan will find less immediate pricing guidance.

kMetal’s ecosystem fit is Kubernetes-native and centered on infrastructure and operations components including Kamaji, KubeVirt, Kube-OVN, Kairos, Capsule, Cluster API, Sveltos, Flux, and MetalLB. Its scope is deliberately focused: bare-metal support, hosted control planes, immutable operating-system image rollout, networking isolation, declarative policies, and fleet administration are central to the product. Choose kMetal when bare-metal control-plane hosting, tenant governance, and centralized lifecycle management are priorities. Consider another platform if you need verified coverage beyond bare metal, an open-source product, or self-serve public pricing.
