Our verdict on KingSCADA

KingSCADA is supervisory control and data acquisition software for industrial teams building monitoring and control systems. It collects equipment data across supported protocols, presents configurable process graphics, processes alarms and events, stores historical data, and provides trends and reporting. Reusable model-based project development suits repeatable implementations, while the stated mid-market and enterprise fit points to utilities, energy, manufacturing and other larger operational environments.

Pricing is handled through contact with sales. The deployment model is self-hosted, with support for Windows and several Linux-based domestic operating systems in the KingSCADA 4.0 Xinchang edition. Distributed services can separate historical, real-time, alarm and acquisition functions, and hot-standby plus network redundancy options address architectures that need duplicated components. Browser access is available through B/S architecture in that edition, adding a web route alongside local operating-system deployments.

Integration coverage includes OPC, DDE, API and ActiveX interfaces, while listed industrial protocols include IEC 101/103/104, DLT645, BACnet, LonWorks, HJ/T212, MQTT, Modbus and OPC UA. This combination gives engineering teams several paths for connecting control equipment and adjacent software while retaining native acquisition, visualization and historian functions. Choose KingSCADA when a self-hosted SCADA foundation with distributed services, redundancy and broad protocol coverage is the priority. Teams seeking a cloud-hosted operating model or browser access independent of the specified Xinchang edition should compare alternatives.
