Keybreeze review
A free Windows launcher that combines local search, clipboard tools, and macros.

Keybreeze Desktop is a free, open-source keyboard launcher for Windows. It suits people who want to reach applications, local files and folders, websites, and commands by typing a keyword or search term after activating a configurable hotkey. Its scope extends beyond launching: saved-text insertion, clipboard history, notes, reminders, calculations, window controls, and macros make it useful for users who want several small desktop tasks in one keyboard-driven tool.
Local indexing and search are central to the file workflow, while custom keywords let users create direct routes to entries. QuickTab handles window switching and positioning. For repeatable actions, Keybreeze supports both recorded and manually authored macros; entries can also be imported and exported. These features make it broader than a simple app launcher, but its fit is specifically a Windows desktop workflow: the listed platform is Windows, and the product has no cloud sync or integrations. Choose it if local access, text tools, and macros are more important than syncing or connecting to other services.
The current downloadable version is free and open source under GPL 3.0. The former paid Pro version and Keybreeze Sync have been discontinued, so the current offering is not presented as a choice of paid tiers. That keeps the buying decision straightforward, but also means buyers seeking cloud synchronization should look elsewhere. Keybreeze is a focused option for Windows users comfortable with a local launcher and its range of built-in utilities; it is not suited to people who need a cross-platform tool or an integrated, cloud-synced launcher.
