Kentik Network Intelligence Platform review
Broad flow, cloud-log, application, and topology analysis for large environments.

Kentik Network Intelligence Platform is a cloud-based network traffic analysis platform for infrastructure, network, cloud, and security teams. It supports hybrid environments across on-premises infrastructure and public cloud resources, with web and API access. The platform collects sFlow, IPFIX, NetFlow, cloud flow logs, SNMP, streaming telemetry, BGP data, and synthetic test results. Its analysis covers applications, sources, destinations, autonomous system numbers, regions, protocols, conversations, top talkers, bandwidth utilization, and traffic trends.
Pricing is organized around a 30-day Trial, a Pro plan, and a Premier plan. Pro costs $2,000 per month with annual billing and includes core network, traffic, device, capacity, data exploration, dashboard, and integration capabilities, plus 50 users, 120 days of traffic visibility retention, and 45 days of forensic retention. Premier includes 1,000 users and the same stated retention periods, while pricing is available by contacting Kentik. The annual contract structure and starting price make the platform a fit for organizations with substantial monitoring requirements rather than teams seeking a free or low-cost tool.
Its strongest distinction is breadth: traffic visualization, application and conversation visibility, topology views, anomaly detection, alerting, DDoS investigation, synthetic ping and traceroute testing, REST APIs, and Firehose data export sit in one platform. Integrations include AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Docker, Cloudflare, Splunk, Grafana, Slack, Microsoft Teams, PagerDuty, ServiceNow, Palo Alto Networks, and Fortinet FortiGate. Choose Kentik when cross-environment visibility and extensive analysis matter more than entry price; smaller teams or buyers prioritizing a free plan should consider a narrower alternative.
