Our verdict on Kenshi/core
Kenshi/core is a game-integrity platform for studios running competitive or live-service games. It combines kernel-aware anti-cheat, hardware and runtime detection, binary protection, and anti-tamper controls in one SDK and runtime. Support covers Windows and Linux, with engine compatibility spanning Unreal Engine 4 and 5, Unity 2021 LTS and Unity 6, Source, Source 2, CryEngine / Lumberyard, Godot native modules, and custom C++ engines. Its multi-layer approach suits teams that need detailed signals across hardware, kernel, runtime, binary, and application activity.
The Enterprise plan is contact-sales software and includes a custom integration engagement, 27 detection modules across 4 layers, 32 anti-tamper protections, a Ring 0 kernel-aware runtime, a hybrid user-mode and kernel SDK, and a dedicated integration engineer. The product has no free plan. Its header-only C++ SDK is designed for Unreal, Unity, Source, and custom engines, while integrations extend to Steamworks, Xbox, PC Game Pass, PlayStation Network, Windows 10, and Windows 11. This breadth gives larger studios room to align protection with existing deployment and development environments.
Operationally, Kenshi/core can route events to Slack, Discord, PagerDuty, Datadog, SIEM platforms, and REST JSON logs. Its detection stack includes anti-debug, anti-VM, anti-dump, hook detection, integrity monitoring, code virtualization, control-flow flattening, binary hardening, and hardware, kernel, runtime, and binary telemetry correlation. That depth is the main reason to consider it over a narrower client-side tool. Studios seeking bespoke integration support and deep telemetry should shortlist it; teams wanting transparent self-serve pricing, a free entry tier, or a simpler implementation should look elsewhere.
