JumpCloud Device Management helps IT teams connect and manage Windows, macOS, and Linux devices through an agent or MDM. It suits organizations that want device administration alongside user and group management, including small, mid-market, and enterprise teams. Administrators can view device status, apply policies, run commands, and track devices and other IT assets. Web access and support for iOS and Android are also listed, alongside its desktop operating-system coverage.

Pricing is per user. The Device Management plan is published at $9 per user per month with annual billing, or $11 per user per month with monthly billing. Both listings describe device management and MDM. The product has a 30-day free trial, but it is a paid product rather than a free-plan option. Patch Management is a premium feature: it can schedule and enforce operating-system and Chrome browser updates, and is priced separately. Teams considering patching should account for that additional charge in their evaluation.

Its feature set spans inventory, device status, user and policy administration, commands, asset tracking, updates, and Remote Assist screen access and control for supported endpoints. That combination makes it a fit for teams that want these controls in the same environment as user access management. Support is listed through tickets, chat, phone, and documentation, and deployment options include cloud and browser extension. Choose it if device oversight and access administration are closely connected in your IT workflow; teams looking for a device-only tool without a paid, per-user model may prefer to compare alternatives.

JumpCloud Device Management pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Connects devices through an agent or MDM and shows status and inventory
    • Manages device users, groups, policies, and commands from one platform
    • Offers remote screen control and scheduled OS and Chrome browser updates
  • Where it doesn't
    • There is no free plan; access starts with a paid subscription
    • Patch Management is a premium feature with separate pricing
    • The product focuses on device management rather than a broader endpoint toolset
