Our verdict on Jottii

Jottii is a private journaling and notes workspace for individuals who want encrypted writing across web and desktop devices. Entries are encrypted on the device before synchronization, while offline-first editing supports writing without an active connection. Its dated daily journal mode, separate notes workspace, rich-text editor, Markdown support, and encrypted cloud backups make it suited to people who want one writing system across supported devices.

Pricing is straightforward but entirely paid. The Monthly plan costs $5 per month and includes unlimited journal entries and notes, zero-knowledge end-to-end encryption, cross-device sync on web and desktop, encrypted cloud backups, and rich-text editing with Markdown support. The Yearly plan costs $49 per year with the same listed features, while the Lifetime plan costs $99 as a one-time purchase. A 7-day free trial is available, but there is no free plan. Buyers should choose the billing option that matches how long they expect to keep their journal.

Jottii’s clearest distinction is the combination of zero-knowledge encryption, offline-first entry creation, and native desktop coverage. Web, Windows, macOS, and Linux support gives desktop-oriented writers several ways to reach their entries, with background and real-time sync connecting them. Mobile apps are described as coming soon, so people who need a mobile-first journal should choose an alternative until that platform coverage is available. Jottii is a good fit for private, text-centered journaling; buyers seeking a broader media or discovery workflow should look elsewhere.
