Our verdict on Diarium
Diarium is a personal journal and diary app for recording notes, reflections, photos, videos, audio, locations, moods and travel memories. It supports Windows, macOS, iOS and Android, making it suitable for people who want one journaling workflow across desktop and mobile devices. Rich-text formatting, lists, tags, ratings and reminders support both quick entries and more structured personal records.
Its main strength is breadth. Entries can include multiple media types and appear in calendar, timeline, map and attachment views. Automatic contextual feeds can add information from services such as Google Timeline, Fitbit, Google Fit, Strava, WorkingHours, Microsoft To Do, Facebook, GitHub, Untappd and Last.fm. Migration from supported journal and note apps helps people bring existing records into Diarium, while exports to Word, HTML, JSON and plain text provide several ways to use journal content elsewhere.
Privacy and storage choices are central to the product. Journals can be protected with a password, PIN or biometric lock, and offline access is supported. Optional synchronization uses OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox, iCloud or WebDAV rather than a proprietary Diarium account. The Free plan includes basic journaling and limited Pro features; the Pro plan adds cloud sync, unlimited attachments per entry, Word export, widgets, integrations and custom fonts. Diarium is a strong fit for users who want extensive formats, views and integrations across major platforms. Those seeking a simpler journal with fewer configuration choices may prefer a more focused app.
