Jet-Stream CDN is the content-delivery component of Jet-Stream Cloud, built for teams distributing professional live and on-demand media. Its audience includes broadcasters, publishers, enterprises, sports organizations, events, and other organizations delivering video, television, radio, podcasts, or music. The service runs through web and API access, combining Jet-Stream’s CDN with integrated third-party CDNs.

The published plans start with a €97 one-time Trial that includes one month of Jet-Stream Cloud access and 30 minutes of expert consulting. Basic includes 100 GB of storage, 1 TB of traffic, and 600 transcoding minutes. Pro adds 1 TB of storage, 5 TB of traffic, 3,000 transcoding minutes, and one global CDN. Enterprise raises those allowances to 5 TB, 25 TB, and 6,000 minutes, with two global CDNs. Broadcaster includes 50 TB, 200 TB, and 12,000 minutes, with three global CDNs. Basic, Pro, Enterprise, and Broadcaster use request-pricing plans. Integrations include Akamai, Fastly, Bunny CDN, EdgeNext, Medianova, and Amazon CloudFront.

Its strongest distinction is the depth of its video-delivery controls. Automated content steering, active load balancing, origin shielding, token-based access control, geofencing, cache flushing, server-side log processing, and real-time stream statistics support operational control over media distribution. HLS and DASH packaging plus DRM encryption and licensing integrations address publishing and rights-management requirements. Broadcasters with multi-CDN needs should find the feature coverage aligned with their workflows, while teams seeking only straightforward file or website delivery may prefer a narrower CDN service with simpler plans and less media infrastructure.

Jet-Stream CDN pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Automated content steering and load balancing across multiple CDNs
    • Live and on-demand delivery with HLS, DASH, DRM, and origin shielding
    • Real-time audience statistics, log processing, and CDN API integrations
  • Where it doesn't
    • Ongoing plan pricing requires contacting sales
    • There is no free plan
    • Its media-focused feature set may exceed simpler delivery needs
