Our verdict on Jaikoz
Jaikoz is a desktop music-tagging application for organizing personal libraries and preparing recordings for release. It runs on Windows, macOS and Linux, combining automatic identification with spreadsheet-style editing. MusicBrainz and Discogs matching, AcoustID recognition, embedded cover-art retrieval, duplicate detection and ID3 conversion address the main cleanup tasks in a multi-format collection. Batch AutoCorrecter workflows can apply corrections across files, while metadata-driven file and folder renaming helps keep a library structured. It suits solo users and small teams that want detailed control on a computer rather than a cloud service.
Pricing is one-time by plan. Jaikoz Standard costs $37 and includes the full program without limitations or expiry, a one-person license for up to three computers and free updates for one year. Jaikoz Pro costs $49 and adds acoustic metadata such as BPM and mood plus premium lookup performance. A Pro Upgrade costs $15 for Standard customers, while a Reorder License costs $7 and another year of version upgrades costs $13. A 30-day trial provides time to evaluate the workflow before purchase, but there is no free plan.
The feature set connects well with music-library workflows: automatic matching draws on MusicBrainz, Discogs and AcoustID, iTunes is supported, and the software handles nine audio formats. Its combination of field-level editing, artwork retrieval, duplicate actions and synchronized ID3 versions is broader than a tag editor focused only on basic fields. Email, community and documentation channels provide support options. Jaikoz is a strong fit for collectors who need batch processing and cross-platform desktop control; users seeking mobile, browser-based or free tagging should consider a different type of tool.
