IsBareMetal review
A flexible bare-metal option for traffic-heavy workloads that need root access and high-speed ports.

IsBareMetal provides unmanaged, single-tenant dedicated servers for traffic-heavy workloads and infrastructure teams. Customers receive physical hardware, root or administrator access, IPMI/KVM-over-IP, native IPv4 and IPv6, and unmetered network traffic. Linux and Windows are supported, with self-hosted deployments also fitting the service model. The offering spans stock configurations and custom builds across locations in the Netherlands and the United States, with network and hardware support included.
Pricing is organized across four monthly plans. Start costs $99 and includes a Xeon E3 processor with 4 cores / 8 threads, 32 GB DDR3 memory, 2 × 480 GB SSD, a 1 Gbps unmetered uplink, IPMI/KVM access, and Amsterdam location. Pro costs $189 for 2 × Xeon E5 processors, 16 cores / 32 threads, 64 GB DDR3 memory, 2 × 960 GB SSD, and a 1 Gbps unmetered uplink. Mega costs $299 and adds 2 × Xeon Silver processors, 32 cores / 64 threads, 256 GB DDR4 memory, and 2 × 1 TB NVMe. Ultimate costs $1,099, with 2 × Xeon Gold processors, 36 cores / 72 threads, 256 GB DDR4 memory, 2 × 1.92 TB NVMe, and a 10 Gbps unmetered uplink. The service also offers 1, 10, or 100 Gbps port options.
The main trade-off is control versus operational responsibility. Custom operating-system installation through ISO, IPMI/KVM, and administrator access support infrastructure teams that want direct server management, while the unmanaged model places operating-system management, application deployment, backups, and managed control panels outside the standard service scope. The servers include two IPv4 addresses per machine, and both IPv4 and IPv6 are available. IsBareMetal fits buyers prioritizing dedicated hardware, unmetered traffic, and configurable connectivity; organizations seeking included backups, DDoS protection, or managed administration should choose a different hosting model.
