Our verdict on IronWiFi
IronWiFi is a cloud-hosted guest Wi-Fi authentication platform for venues and organizations that need configurable visitor access. It combines captive portals with RADIUS-based controls, allowing administrators to tailor how guests sign in and how their sessions are limited. Authentication options include email, social login, SMS, vouchers, payment, and other methods. That makes it a fit for operators who need more than a shared network password, while its guest-access focus makes it less suited to teams seeking a broad wireless network management system.
The Guest WiFi plan is listed at $13 per access point per month, billed monthly. Its published highlights include branded captive portal themes and payments, Passpoint (Hotspot 2.0), social login, SMS and email verification, plus roaming analytics and visitor reporting. A separate Coworking plan is $195 per venue per month; it includes the first 15 access points per venue and unlimited users. The paid structure may work for venues choosing a defined guest access model, but there is no free plan. Compare the per-access-point Guest WiFi rate with the venue-based Coworking plan against your deployment before choosing.
The feature depth is strongest around visitor access: administrators can customize splash pages, issue time- or use-limited vouchers, authenticate returning devices by MAC address, and set bandwidth, data, and session limits through RADIUS. Reporting covers authentication, sessions, bandwidth, guest clients, and roaming, with export available. IronWiFi also lists integrations with access-point vendors and services including Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Google Workspace, Stripe, and Twilio. Choose it when guest identity, access rules, and visitor reporting are central requirements; look elsewhere if your primary need is general-purpose wireless network management rather than guest authentication.
