Insignary Clarity review
Deep source and binary SCA; the main platform is quote-based, with a separate self-service On-Demand SKU from $200.

Insignary Clarity is a software composition analysis platform for development, security, and operations teams. It examines source code, compiled binaries, firmware, containers, and IT infrastructure to identify open-source components, vulnerabilities, license risks, and policy issues. Clarity supports web and self-hosted deployment, with SaaS, on-premises, and hybrid models available. Its strongest fit is for teams that need to analyze both source and compiled software rather than source repositories alone.
The main Insignary Clarity platform is licensed annually and quote-based (contact sales), with multi-user and multi-project support. Clarity On-Demand is a separate self-service SKU, launched in July 2026 for single-project, two-week scans, priced in one-time tiers: the 100MB plan costs $200, the 500MB plan costs $950, the 1GB plan costs $1,800, and the 2GB plan costs $3,400, each covering a single project. On-Demand is currently available only in North America; enterprise buyers on the main platform should request a quote to evaluate multi-user and multi-project pricing separately.
The product's feature depth centers on software composition analysis and supply-chain visibility. It generates SBOMs from source code and compiled binaries, supports SPDX and CycloneDX, maps open-source vulnerability and license risks, and provides reachability analysis for vulnerable binary code. Continuous vulnerability monitoring without rescanning, open-source snippet detection, and patent-litigation risk monitoring broaden the analysis beyond basic component identification. Clarity also integrates with issue trackers (Jira, Redmine), source control (GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab), container registries (ACR, Docker Hub, ECR, GAR), npm package registries, Jenkins CI/CD, an Eclipse IDE plugin, and a REST API with sample code. Teams prioritizing binary analysis, firmware coverage, or reachability should consider Clarity.
