Our verdict on Inpulse
Inpulse is a cloud-based platform for multi-location restaurant groups, bakeries, coffee chains and food kiosks. It focuses on demand forecasting and procurement, with forecasts covering sales by day, product, ingredient and channel. Forecasts can use sales history, seasonality, weather, events and promotions. Alongside forecasting, Inpulse supports inventory management, supplier ordering, production planning, invoice reconciliation, centralized reporting and real-time analytics. Its strongest fit is an enterprise operator coordinating purchasing and supply across multiple establishments.
The plan structure separates core operational connectivity from deeper forecasting and enterprise controls. Starter includes POS and aggregator connections, inventory management, purchasing analysis and multi-site capabilities. Scale adds sales forecasts by day and establishment, forecasts by product and ingredient, ordering recommendations and forecasted stock analysis. Enterprise adds EDI ordering, automated production planning, advanced user rights, API access, unlimited brands and multi-currency. Inpulse uses a contact-sales pricing model and does not offer a free plan, so the tier structure is clearer for capability planning than for upfront budget comparison.
Operational breadth is a central strength. The platform can recommend supplier orders and create purchase orders, produce forecasts by time slot, manage theoretical stock and support automated production planning. Its ecosystem includes POS systems, delivery and ordering platforms, HACCP software, accounting and business intelligence tools, HR and staff-planning software, and supplier EDI. Web and API access support system connectivity, while real-time reporting helps centralize information across locations. Choose Inpulse when forecasting needs to connect directly to purchasing, inventory and production workflows. Operators seeking a lightweight forecasting tool, a free starting plan or transparent published pricing should consider a narrower alternative.
