Our verdict on IceVPN
IceVPN is a consumer VPN service for encrypting internet traffic and connecting through servers in different locations. It is suited to people who want a free tier and a listed Buenos Aires location, including users seeking a server choice for Argentina. Apps are listed for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. Its feature set includes a kill switch, split tunneling, DNS and IPv6 leak protection, and 256-bit encryption. The vendor says its overall server network uses a mix of physical and virtual servers; the Buenos Aires location is listed, but its individual server type is not specified.
The free plan provides 20 GB of monthly bandwidth, one simultaneous device, and access to three countries. Pro Yearly is listed at $2.99 per month, or $35.88 yearly, and supports five devices across 67+ countries. Pro Monthly also includes five devices and 67+ countries; Lifetime is a one-time payment and includes Pro features. For a free user focused on Buenos Aires, the free allowance offers a way to consider the service, while the one-device and three-country limits are meaningful constraints. The published plans make the annual Pro price clear, while the monthly and lifetime tiers are described by their features or payment type.
On the technical side, the kill switch is designed to block internet traffic if the VPN connection drops, and split tunneling routes selected traffic through the VPN. WireGuard and OpenVPN manual configuration are also listed. IceVPN offers email, chat, and documentation support, and lists GDPR compliance and a 30-day refund period. Choose it if its free limits or Pro device and country coverage fit your needs; look elsewhere if you need more than one device on a free account or an app outside the listed platforms.
