Huawei Cloud Scalable File Service Turbo (SFS Turbo) is a managed network-attached storage service for shared file access across Elastic Cloud Servers, containers, and bare metal servers. It suits teams running cloud workloads that need NFS or SMB access from multiple compute environments, including enterprise NAS, file sharing, content management, web applications, rendering, EDA simulation, AI training, AIGC, and autonomous driving workloads. Access is available through the Huawei Cloud web console and HTTPS-based APIs.
SFS Turbo offers two billing approaches. Pay-per-use charges according to selected storage capacity and duration of use, while Yearly/Monthly provides prepaid subscription billing for a specified duration. Its ecosystem fit is centered on Huawei Cloud services, including Elastic Cloud Server, Cloud Container Engine, Bare Metal Server, Cloud Backup and Recovery, Virtual Private Cloud, and Object Storage Service. This makes the service a natural fit for deployments already using Huawei Cloud networking, compute, containers, or backup services.
The standout capability is elastic shared file storage: capacity can be expanded online, with performance scaling as capacity increases. Multi-availability-zone access within the same region supports shared access across distributed workloads, while Cloud Backup and Recovery enables file-system backups and the creation of new file systems from backups. Huawei also supports high-performance file-system types up to documented petabyte-scale capacity. Choose SFS Turbo when shared NFS or SMB storage, online growth, and Huawei Cloud integration are central requirements. Choose another approach when an open-source, self-hosted, or AI-focused storage product is required.
