Huawei Cloud FunctionGraph review
A pay-per-use serverless platform with broad runtimes, event triggers and long-running functions.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
Huawei Cloud FunctionGraph hosts and runs event-driven functions without requiring teams to manage servers. It is aimed at developers and teams that want functions triggered by REST APIs or cloud services, with automatic scaling as request volume changes. Its runtime options include Java, Python, Go, Node.js, C#/.NET, PHP, Cangjie, HTTP, custom runtimes and custom images. That breadth, together with a documented maximum execution time of 259,200 seconds, makes it a fit for workloads that need more than short request handling.
FunctionGraph is billed pay per use, based on requests and execution duration, and includes a monthly free tier. According to the vendor’s pricing information, charges vary by region; request and duration costs both matter when estimating a workload. The free tier makes it possible to start without a paid commitment, but teams should model both parts of usage before relying on it at scale. Reserved instances are available to reduce cold-start impact, a relevant option for functions where startup latency matters.
The feature set covers synchronous and asynchronous invocation, function versions and aliases, and management through REST APIs or KooCLI. Integrations with API Gateway, API Connect, Object Storage Service, Simple Message Notification, Log Tank Service, Application Operations Management, Cloud Trace Service and IoT Device Access connect it to Huawei Cloud services for triggers, logs and monitoring. Choose FunctionGraph if long-running functions, runtime choice and Huawei Cloud integration suit the workload. Teams seeking a platform centered on other cloud ecosystems or needing cold starts minimized without reserved instances may prefer an alternative.
