Huawei Cloud Eye is a multidimensional monitoring service for Huawei Cloud resources, including Elastic Cloud Servers, bandwidth, databases, and other connected services. It is suited to teams that need centralized metrics, dashboards, threshold-based alarms, website checks, log monitoring, and API access within the Huawei Cloud environment. Server monitoring can use an Agent for detailed operating-system metrics on ECS and BMS, while custom metrics can be reported through APIs.

The core monitoring functions are free, with no separate paid Cloud Eye plan described. Value-added services such as alarm notifications and data export may incur charges from connected Huawei Cloud services. Cloud Eye supports email, SMS, HTTP/HTTPS, and service-based notifications, including integration with Huawei Cloud SMN. Its ecosystem connections also include FunctionGraph, OBS, DMS for Kafka, and Auto Scaling, giving Huawei Cloud users a way to connect monitoring with serverless workloads, storage, messaging, and scaling services.

Its feature set is broader than basic infrastructure metrics: users can create dashboards across services and dimensions, group resources, monitor websites through simulated user access, and monitor logs through Log Tank Service. This makes Cloud Eye a practical fit for Huawei Cloud-focused monitoring workflows that need both resource and service visibility. It is less suitable for organizations seeking broad multi-cloud infrastructure coverage, since its verified provider scope is Huawei Cloud. Choose it when Huawei Cloud is the primary environment and free core monitoring matters; consider another category option when monitoring across multiple cloud providers is central.
