  • Where it wins

    • Applicant tracking connects with onboarding and employee workflows.
    • Includes employee records, time tracking, performance, and engagement tools.
    • Supports web, iOS, Android, API, and HR/payroll integrations.
  • Where it doesn't

    • Applicant tracking starts only with the Professional HR plan.
    • The $295 monthly entry tier does not include applicant tracking.
    • Broader HR coverage may be excessive for ATS-only requirements.

Our verdict on HR Cloud

HR Cloud is a modular human resources platform for mid-market and enterprise organizations, including distributed, frontline, and multi-location teams. It combines employee records, onboarding and offboarding workflows, time-off management, time tracking, performance management, recruiting and applicant tracking, employee engagement, forms, reporting, and mobile access. For recruiting teams, its main distinction is that applicant tracking sits inside a wider HR environment rather than operating as a standalone ATS.

The published monthly plans show a package-based structure. Essential HR costs $295 per month and includes Onboard Suite, time-off management and time tracking, basic HRIS functionality, standard integrations, and email and chat support. Professional HR costs $595 per month and adds applicant tracking, performance management, assets management, and kudos and recognition. Culture HR costs $895 per month and adds a custom branded mobile app, task management, personalized journeys, pulse surveys, and employee engagement. Annual billing saves 20%, while enterprise pricing is quoted separately. This makes the ATS capability a Professional HR feature rather than part of the entry plan.

HR Cloud suits organizations that want recruiting connected to employee records, onboarding, performance, engagement, forms, approvals, and reporting. Its ecosystem includes ADP Workforce Now, UKG, QuickBooks Online, Paylocity, Greenhouse, Lever, Indeed, Okta, OneLogin, Google Calendar, Slack, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Zapier. Web, iOS, Android, and API access support different work environments. Choose it when a broader HR suite and mobile employee access matter alongside recruiting. Organizations seeking a focused ATS without adjacent HR functions should consider a more specialized option.
