HPHRMS Smart Attendance review
A free, GPS-focused attendance tool for small teams with payroll-ready hour tracking.

HPHRMS Smart Attendance is a workforce attendance module for Indian businesses and field-based teams. Employees can punch in and out from a phone while the system captures GPS coordinates, optionally collects a selfie, and checks the punch against an assigned worksite geofence. It also includes configurable late-arrival rules, grace minutes, attendance history, downloadable reports, employee self-service, and attendance-derived payroll hours. The Free plan is aimed at small teams and supports up to 25 employees.
The pricing structure starts with Free, which includes Core HRMS, Attendance, Leave Management, and Employee Self-Service. Starter supports up to 100 employees and adds Payroll, Recruitment, Documents, and an AI Assistant. Professional supports up to 500 employees and adds Timesheets, Invoicing, Client Portal, and White Label. Enterprise adds Unlimited AI, Dedicated Support, Custom Integrations, SLA, and an On-Premise Option. Paid plans are presented through a contact-sales model rather than public amounts, so the free tier is the clearest fit for teams evaluating basic attendance controls.
Its strongest differentiator is attendance evidence for distributed or field-based work. Server-side geofencing, GPS capture, optional selfie verification, grace-period rules, overtime calculations, monthly history, and CSV exports give administrators several ways to review attendance and prepare payroll hours. Integrations include Google Gemini, Razorpay, a public careers and job API, and CSV exports, while payroll integrations are not included in the listed integration set. Teams needing free, location-aware attendance for up to 25 employees should consider it; organizations requiring payroll integrations or broader platform coverage should choose an alternative.
