HPE Private Cloud Enterprise is a managed private-cloud infrastructure service for large enterprises running applications on bare metal, virtual machines, and Kubernetes clusters. It supports deployments in customer-owned or customer-managed data centers, HPE-managed colocation facilities, and edge locations. Through HPE GreenLake and HPE Morpheus Enterprise, teams receive self-service provisioning, lifecycle management, monitoring, capacity management, automation, and consumption analytics. The service is available through web and API access and includes enterprise availability SLAs.
Pricing is quote-based, with a consumption-based service model and a minimum monthly cloud subscription. The published plan is HPE Private Cloud Enterprise, and its stated pricing action is to get a quote. The service covers bare-metal provisioning, virtual machine provisioning with ESXi and HVM hypervisors, and Kubernetes cluster deployment and lifecycle management. Self-service catalogs and application blueprints help standardize application delivery, while API, Ansible, and Terraform support can connect infrastructure workflows to existing automation practices.
Hybrid-cloud integration is a central strength, with support for Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, customer VMware clusters, Ansible, and Terraform. Role-based access control and multifactor authentication provide administrative controls, while proactive monitoring, incident management, consumption metering, billing, and capacity reporting support ongoing operations. Backup is not included, so organizations with that requirement should account for a separate capability. HPE Private Cloud Enterprise is suited to large enterprises seeking managed private-cloud operations across multiple infrastructure types; smaller teams or buyers seeking simple, transparent self-service pricing should consider a narrower alternative.
