Hostinger sells Minecraft hosting as a KVM virtual private server with its Game Panel template preinstalled, so each plan is a full VPS with root access, AMD EPYC processors and NVMe storage rather than a slot on a shared game node. Game Panel runs Java server types from CraftBukkit, Spigot, Paper and Purpur to Forge, SpongeVanilla and Feed the Beast, plus Bedrock, and the same plans can host more than 100 other games. It suits owners who want the control of a VPS without assembling the server stack themselves and who are comfortable paying for a long term up front.

Plans are named by vCPU count. Game Panel 1 has 1 vCPU, 4 GB of RAM and 50 GB of NVMe; Game Panel 2 doubles that to 2 vCPUs and 8 GB; Game Panel 4 brings 4 vCPUs and 16 GB; Game Panel 8 tops out at 8 vCPUs and 32 GB. The listed regular rates are $19.49, $24.49, $42.99 and $73.99 a month. The headline offers of $6.99, $9.49, $13.99 and $27.99 require a 24-month prepayment, after which Game Panel 1 renews at $11.99. Every plan includes DDoS protection, free weekly backups, a free .cloud domain for a year and the Kodee AI assistant, and the refund policy allows 30 days on the plan itself but nothing on upgrades.

The pricing model is the main catch: the figures that make Hostinger look cheap depend on a two-year commitment, and the regular rate works out to $4.87 per GB on the smallest plan. The product page promises more than 2,000 modpacks in the dashboard, yet the help centre's own modpack guide downloads packs from CurseForge or FTB and uploads them over SFTP, so modded players should expect some manual work. The VPS location is also fixed once the server exists. Players who want month-to-month billing, one-click modpacks or a free tier should look at the dedicated game hosts; buyers who value root access and a month to change their mind are well served.

Hostinger Minecraft Hosting pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • 30-day money-back window on Game Panel plans (upgrades excluded)
    • Full root access on a KVM VPS whose Game Panel runs Java or Bedrock instances
    • Free weekly backups plus a manual snapshot, and a backup schedule per instance
  • Where it doesn't
    • The $6.99 headline price needs 24 months paid upfront and renews at $11.99
    • The help-centre modpack guide is a manual CurseForge or FTB upload over SFTP
    • Server location is fixed after setup; moving means a backup and a reinstall
