Holodeck B2B is an open-source, standalone AS4 messaging gateway for organizations building or operating their own electronic-invoicing or eDelivery infrastructure. It implements ebXML Messaging 3 and AS4, with file-based backend integration included and REST API integration available through an extension. The gateway runs on Linux, Windows, and macOS, making it suitable for teams that need platform flexibility while keeping deployment on-premise.

Its strongest area is message exchange control. Holodeck B2B supports push and pull messaging patterns, WS-Security signing and encryption, receipts and error signal processing, configurable message resending and purging, and attachments up to 2 GB.
