Our verdict on HODStay

HODStay is a cloud-based hotel management application for independent hotels, lodges, guest houses and serviced apartments. It brings rooms, reservations, guest records, payments, receipts, housekeeping, maintenance, staff roles and operational reporting into a browser-based workspace. The workflow follows a stay from reservation and check-in through payment, checkout and room reset, making it suited to small hospitality teams and growing groups that need shared room-status visibility and operational history.

Published monthly plans start with Starter at GHS 250 per month, including the room board, reservation workflow, guest records, manual payment records, receipts, basic reports and housekeeping status. Pro costs GHS 500 per month and adds staff roles, shift controls, maintenance issue tracking, operational notifications, receipt branding, and advanced occupancy and payment reports. Premium costs GHS 900 per month and provides unlimited room and staff limits, advanced analytics, priority onboarding and support, plus future-oriented custom branding, domain, API and export support. A 14-day free trial is available, and there is no free plan.

The room board is the clearest operational strength: statuses include available, reserved, occupied, dirty, cleaning, maintenance and blocked, giving teams a shared view of room readiness.
